Batman: Under the Red Hood. Batman learns he has a violent, unruly pre-teen son, secretly raised by the terrorist group the League of Assassins. Red Hood In a flashback, we see how Red Hood turns into the savage criminal known as the Joker. Captain Gordon finds an orphan named Jason Todd (who resembles Bruce Wayne's ward), and brings him to Dick Grayson, who feels sorry for the boy and takes him in as Robin, training him in the ways of the Batman. However, a burglar breaks into Dick Grayson's home, and Jason Todd uses this as an opportunity to escape and join the thief's gang, the Joker's gang. Batman begins to notice the boy's resemblance to Bruce Wayne and meets the orphan at a hospital, where Jason explains that the Joker kidnapped his mother and raped his grandmother. He also reveals that he has a tattoo of the Joker on his back and that he used to work for the Joker and the gang, but they stole his identity and killed his parents. He later returns to the Batcave, much to Batman's anger. However, the Joker's plan is foiled when the Batmobile's tires catch fire from the chemical waste, causing Batman and Robin to fall to their deaths. Dick Grayson rescues Batman and Jason returns to the Batcave. Dick then names Jason Robin and trains him to become a Batman.[1] Later on, the Joker kidnaps Jason for his own plans, but Dick convinces his brother, Bruce Wayne, to become the second Bat. When Batman begins to notice strange occurrences, Jason joins Batman and becomes his sidekick, the Red Hood. After Batman destroys the Joker's lair, Jason confesses that he isn't sure who he is; however, Dick manages to convince Jason to become Robin again, which he does, but is later kidnapped by the Joker and locked in a batcave that is rigged to explode at midnight. In order to save Jason, Bruce creates a new identity for him, using the name Robin, after a poem his father used to tell him. In a post-credits scene, Red Hood and Jason return to the Batcave, and Batman begins to realize how important Jason is to him.
